Sassara Winery is located in the south part of Lago di Garda. In the morainic hills where the 10 hectares of Sassara vineyard takes his roots. The hills of Sassara are also protected by benefit influence of the Garda lake which creates the best climate conditions for the viticulture.
You can find the vineyard of Sassara in the small village of Valeggio sul Mincio and to be exact in the morainic hill called Monte Mamaor with an altitude of only 200 meters. The actual vineyard was planted 50 years ago but nowadays Stefano and Alessia run this natural project and in 2007 they converted the vineyard with the use of biodynamic methods of cultivation.
Esotico is a red, more orange colored, wine produced with 30% of red grapes as Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara and 70 % white grapes as Garganega, Trebbianello, Tocai, Moscato and Fernanda. 10 days of maceration on skin in fiberglass tank. no filter, no sulphite added, no added yeast and no chemical products.
Tastes like: Soft citrus flavours, topped off with strawberry and even some hints of pomgrenate.
Pairs perfect with: some tasty mexican guacamole burgers.
