Antoine Le Court has worked with wine for many years despite his young age and has attended the Global Wine School working for a number of amazing winemakers in the Loire, where he is from, California, South America and Australia before ending up in Arbois where he has worked as the right hand man for Alice Bouvot from Domaine de l'Octavin. Many years of hard work, dedication and constant striving. Antoine and his Brazilian wife Julia have now bought their own house a stone's throw from Arbois with the most amazing old wine cellar where they together have created homes that both contain their wines and the most incredible beautiful gîte where visitors can stay while drinking their amazing wines.

Antoine's wines are packed with ideas driven by curiosity and a huge love of wine and it's an impressive result. There is no recipe and the work with the wines is biodynamic, with decisions only being made when the grapes are in the cellar.

Fermentations and which tanks to use are decided based on the potential of the grapes and no sulfur is ever added. It is a refreshingly free approach that gives wines with a very individual character, where the common thread is an energy where the first wine is as exciting as the last. Soul Makossa is named after the legendary song of Manu Dibango and is a red wine made from Cinsault. Old vine grapes from Cabrieres in Languedoc. 70% of the grapes were left in whole bunches and 30% were de-stemmed, then macerated together for 2 and half months. This wine has an incredible balance, tart fruit and an earthy finish.

Goes really well for meat dishes.
