100% hand harvested organic Chardonnay grapes from Burgenland, Austria.
Vineyard owned by Julius Hafner. Chardonnay vines were planted in 1995 in the town of Mönchhof, east of lake Neusiedl. They have been farmed organically since 2007. Harvested at very high acidity and average sugar content.
Grapes were transported cold, direct from harvest, for vinification in Fiskars Village, Finland. 50% cool skin contact for two days, 50% direct press to stainless steel. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeast. No sulphites added and <10 mg/l free and total sulphites present in laboratory tests. Unfined, unfiltered and suitable for vegans.
